The El Dorado County Farm Bureau’s Board of Directors voted to endorse Michael Ranalli in the Board of Supervisors District 4 race after interviewing and reviewing the qualifications of each of the candidates, “Mike Ranalli is a proven leader,” said Farm Bureau President, Jim Davies. “He is an intelligent, engaged problem solver with the best interests of our county at heart.”
“I consider Mike to be the rare candidate who has spent years volunteering and learning about local land use and zoning with no other motive other than to help the county”, said Maryann Argyres. “He understands the issues and possesses an amazing retention of facts necessary for important decisions that must be made in the near future. No on-the-job training will be necessary.”
“Voters seldom have an opportunity to elect as talented and informed a candidate as Michael Ranalli,” said Farm Bureau Vice President, Merv de Haas. “He has retired from a demanding career and chosen to engage in the General Plan implementation process. He is arguably the best informed person outside the County government on the General Plan and its implementation.”
Ranalli owns and operates a vineyard in Lotus with wife, Colleen. He has made the time to serve on local commissions, boards and local community organizations. Mike brings his 40 years of business experience to the table when researching and analyzing the complex issues being faced in El Dorado County today. He is also a Farm Bureau member.
“Michael Ranalli’s decision to run for public office after a career at Intel, managing operations with more employees and a budget larger than our county’s, gives us a real opportunity for change,” said Chuck Bacchi, owner of Bacchi Ranch. “Just as important, Michael is a unifier, not a divider. I believe he will help bring focus to our board of supervisors and address the issues in a fair, even and temperate manner.”
The El Dorado County Farm Bureau works to promote and protect farmers, ranchers, and foresters, and our rural way of life on behalf of nearly 900 member families county-wide.
